Cosmonautics Day at the institute of Russian Language and Culture

 27 april 2025

The events dedicated to Cosmonautics Day were held at the Institute of Russian Language and Culture in April. Our lecturers created interesting worksheets and organized thematic lessons for our students. Moreover, some groups visited VDNKh Space Pavilion.

Two awesome bus trips were also organized for our students: to Star City (Zvyozdny gorodok) and to Kaluga. Star City is a place where cosmonauts are trained and researches are carried out. The students learnt the history of cosmonautics and got to know such legendary personalities as Yuri Gagarin and Valentina Tereshkova. The guide told them about cosmonaut trainings and challenges cosmonauts had to face before a space flight. The trip to Star City left a vivid impression on all the visitors and introduced them to Russian history of space exploration.

The trip to Kaluga started with Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics which was located in the city centre. Our students liked the exhibition dedicated to the first space flights and outstanding cosmonauts, scientists and researchers such as Yuri Gagarin. They examined the models of rockets and other exhibits. Then the real space lunch awaited them.
After that, the students had a walk and went into a pryaniki shop. Everyone was happy. At the end of the excursion, they visited an old Goncharov Estate.

The students of IRLC came back to Moscow full of impressions.
