December 2023 in IRLC

 29 december 2023

It’s snowy and cold in Moscow but it doesn’t prevent our students from studying and resting.

At the Institute of Russian Language and Culture classes are in full swing because we are preparing for the exams. Moreover, meetings with the representatives of Faculty of History and Faculty of Space Research were held. Students asked questions about admission rules and entrance exams.

However, our students also had time to have a rest after classes. In December they went on a bus tour around the center of Moscow, visited the exhibition “Russia”, House of Russian Abroad and Izmailivo Kremlin.

Classical music lovers attended Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra in the auditorium of the Main Building of MSU and the concert of Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre soloists, watched “The Nutcracker” and “Swan Lake” ballets. Both students and teachers chose the winner of the video contest “We live and study in Moscow”. It was a difficult choice because all the works were really interesting.

At our Institute, New Year’s concerts are long-awaited events which students of both departments prepare for.

The students performed songs, poems in Russian and even prepared musical performances  they played the musical instruments such as the piano, the flute and even the guzheng. The audience admired dances from Russia, China and Bangladesh and a theatre performance «The Tale of Tsar Saltan».

We prepared to the New Year: decorated a Christmas Tree and our classrooms. Ded Moroz came to our students and gave them sweets as gifts.
