International Congress of Teachers of the Russian Language and Literature, dedicated to the 225-th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin

The solemn opening ceremony of the International Congress of Teachers of the Russian Language and Literature, dedicated to the 225-th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin, was held at Lomonosov building of Lomonosov Moscow State University on November 7, 2024. The Congress took place from 7 to 9 November.
This year, there were 1104 participants from various cities and towns of Russia, Kazakhstan, China, South Korea and other countries.
The plenary session was opened by rector of MSU, academician Viktor Sadovnichiy.

Among those who presented their reports were Doctor of Philology, professor Viktor Guminskiy, director of the National Pushkin Museum Sergei Nekrasov, professor of Beijing Normal University Liu Juan, professor of the Faculty of Philology at Lomonosov MSU Marina Sidorova, Honorary Worker of General Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Volkov, chairman of the Educational and Methodological Council of the Pedagogical Education Development Association Ludmila Trubina and CEO of the Russian Cultural and Educational Center Pushkin House in Seoul Kim Sung Myung.

Participants of the Open Language Lesson contest “Pushkin lesson”, Musical and Poetic contest “Favourite Poems by Pushkin” and Illustration competition were awarded in the second half of this remarkable event. After that, the guests were invited to the Literary Lounge hosted by rector of Maxim Gorky Institute of Literature and Creative Writing Alexey Varlamov. The special guest was the writer Leonid Yuzefovich.
