 22 december 2023

At our Institute, New Year’s concerts are long-awaited events which students of both departments prepare for.

A New Year’s concert of students in the program “The Russian Language and Culture” took place at IRLC on December 21.

The Deputy Director V.V. Chastnykh congratulated our students on the coming holidays and wished them success in the New Year. Then students of the group 102 recited the poem “If there had been no winter”, Li Yue and Wei Fengqing from the group 104 recited the poem “Snowflake” by K.Balmont.

Higashi Satomi from the group 102 performed the romance on verses by A.S. Pushkin “I Loved You…”, students of the group 110 sang the song “Spinning, Spinning Blue Ball…”.

After that the students answered New Year’s quiz questions. The most active ones received gifts.

The second New Year’s concert, which was attended by students of the IRLC pre-university course, took place on December 22.

The students performed songs, poems in Russian and even prepared musical performances - they played the musical instruments such as the piano, the flute and even the guzheng. The audience admired dances from Russia, China and Bangladesh and a theatre performance «The Tale of Tsar Saltan».

There were students of RUDN among the people performing in the concert. Their performances were warmly greeted with applause.

All the artists had been preparing for the performances and worrying about them for a long time. However, a friendly atmosphere in the hall helped overcome shyness, and everything went brilliantly. The last school week on this year is ahead. Holidays are coming!
