Programs for Spanish students

One of the most important aims of the Institute is to extend the cooperation with different countries and to attract more potential students to the courses. From 16th till 20th of January the Deputy Director for Development Valeriy Chastnykh gave seminars and open classes in Madrid. The cooperation with our Spanish partners - the main partners being The Complutense University of Madrid and Russian Cultural Center "La Casa Rusia" - has been growing for the past three years.
Spanish students usually come for short-term language programs but this year we welcomed the first full academic year student from Spain who is now studying at the Pre-University Program. Having completed the course Jorge is planning to enter the Master's Program of the Phililogical Department of the MSU.
Along with our colleagues from Spain we have developed a new program for Spanish students which is called "Semana Santa". The program is aimed at students who study Russian in Spain and provides them with an opportunity to visit Russia and study at the IRLC during the Easter holidays. This year the students will arrive in the middle of April.
