Science Festival at MSU in 2023

One of the greatest event of Decade of Science and Technology, the 18th Science Festival NAUKA 0+, was held in Moscow on October 6-8, 2023. It was organised by the Government of Moscow represented by Department of Education and Science with the support from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Lomonosov Moscow State University and Russian Academy of Sciences.

Several groups of IRLC students from various countries attended the opening ceremony and exhibitions of the festival. It was not easy to choose the most interesting event. Our students did tasks at the exciting quest organised by the Faculty of Sociology, drew a picture using a 3D pen next to the stand of the Graduate School of Management and Innovation, found out some principles of simultaneous interpretation at the stand of the Higher School of Translation and Interpretation, got acquainted with Indian culture and handwriting next to the stand of the Institute of African and Asian Counties, got henna temporary tattoos, drew and held a master class on Calligraphy.

The students communicated with the representatives of various faculties, asked questions and took part in master classes in English. We hope that very soon they will be able to maintain a dialogue in Russian!

The events of the Science Festival NAUKA 0+ will be taking place during the whole autumn in Novosibirsk Oblast, Krasnoyarsk, Vladivostok, Krasnodar and other regions of Russia. What is more, large-scale festivals NAUKA 0+ will be held on the venue of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University in China on October 24-29 and in Tashkent on November 4-5.
