The new schedule of after school activities

The schedule of after school activities has been changed.
“RussianFolkDance” studio
During the classes we will get acquainted with Russian culture, learn more about Russian folk dances and learn how to dance them. To do this, we will study the basic dance elements and listen to Russian folk songs.
For each concert we will learn a dance and show it on the stage of our institute.
What are “Apple”, “Kalinka” and “Round Dance”? How to dance “the keys”?... – You'll find out soon!!
Frequency of classes: once a week for 90 minutes.
Time and place: Monday 4:30 p.m., building 24, conference room on the 1st floor

“Russian Songs” Club
In our classes we will get acquainted with a wide spectrum of Russian songs spanning from traditional folk to modern ones. You will come to know the history of creation and some interesting facts related to a song. We will be doing exercises and discussing songs to better understand their meaning. First we will sing karaoke, and then learn the songs and perform them at concerts, which are often held at our institute.
If you love to sing and want to join Russian culture through songs, we are happy to invite you to our classes!

PoetryStudio
In our classes students will become acquainted with Russian poetry, the best examples of artistic reading of poetic works of Russian literature, and of course recite poems themselves. Classes will help to improve pronunciation and expand understanding of Russian culture.
Frequency of classes: 1 time per week (90 minutes).

Theater studio
During the classes it is planned to conduct special exercises and interesting games aimed at developing various types of creativity and artistic abilities of students, introduction to Russian theater, as well as national traditions and holidays. Activities will include developing speech and communication skills in Russian, preparation for the performance, including the distribution and learning of roles, selection and preparation of musical accompaniment, scenery, costumes, etc.

Calligraphy club
During the classes we will get acquainted with calligraphic writing techniques, study the rules of writing small and large letters of the Russian alphabet; we will develop our own unique beautiful handwriting, learn how to create expressive elements (flourishes), and acquire initial skills in designing greeting cards, letters and other handwritten texts using a pointed pen and ink.
