Visiting the house of Lev Tolstoy in Khamovniki

On the 14th of September the students from groups 8 and 20 went on excursion to the Tolstoy’s house in Khamovniki.
On the first lesson students and their professors discussed all well-known and not so famous facts from Tolstoy’s life. The students knew a lot about this Russian writer, they named his novels and remembered that he used to live in Yasnaya Polyana. They were really surprised to learn that he knew 11 languages, played the piano, went skiing and skating and helped peasants a lot.
At the house of the great Russian writer the students saw the authentic things that belonged to the Tolstoy family and got acquainted with the way people lived in the 19th century.
The garden behind the house also impressed the students. Thanks to the sunny weather they were able to take a lot of bright and memorable pictures.
